FOCUS
The Faculty of Gender Studies started in January 1984. Till March 2005 it was known as Centre for Women Development, reflecting the concern for issues of empowerment of women at all levels. Over the years the faculty developed expertise on planning, management of women development programmes and self-help groups, issues relating to gender, entrepreneurship development, empowerment, etc. It conducts training, research and consultancy programmes regularly on these topics.
