The Institute, realizing the need for creating a cadre of committed and competent
rural development professionals in the country, is planning to conduct long term
teaching, research and training programmes. As a first step in this direction, the
Institute has launched a one year ‘Post Graduate Diploma Programme in Rural Development
Management’ (PGDPRDM) in the academic year 2008-09.
Backed by 50 years experience of the Institute in rural development
training, research, action research, consultancy and advocacy, the Centre draws
upon the rich experience and insights of over 70 faculty members. The faculty of
CPGS, profiled here, has rich experience in conducting national and international
teachings and training programmes. To further enrich the faculty resources
and insights, the Centre proposes to invite eminent persons as visiting fellows,
research fellows, teachers and trainers as guest faculty from institutions of academic
excellence.
