OBJECTIVES: 1.To prepare a status report on child labour; 2.To examine the functioning of NCLP schools working under NCL Projects; 3.To improve awareness among the child labour working in various industrial units; and 4.To monitor the NCLP and give suggestions to improve the quality and standards.

OBJECTIVES: 1. To mainstream issues related to ruralchild labour households into rural development programmes with a view to ensuring that the long-term effects of poverty alleviation programmes on child labour impinge on determinants of absolute poverty, such as the endowment of resource ownership, productivity in using resources and the net earnings realized through the productive use of resources.2. To build up capacity of government officials, training institutions, panchayati raj institutions, rural cooperatives, community based organizations (CBOs), NGOs and self help groups to plan and implement income generating programmes for rural child labour households. Ensure that the increased income of the households result in releasing working children in rural areas from workplace and joining formal schools.

PROJECT ABSTRACT: Objectives: 1)To establish a sustainable system of regular advocacy, communication,education, nutrition information strategies and ensuring community participation through social mobilization; 2)Net working among concerned GO functionaries, NGOs, PRIs and Community and 3)To strengthen the NGOs in designing and implementation of the programme aimed at improving the nutritional and health status of women.
Methodology: The three tier management and monitoring system has been adopted.PRA technique has been used in making action plans for implementation by NGOs.
Study area: Bikaner District, Three Blocks;Bikaneer, Nocha and Kolayat and 66 villages.
PLANNED OUTPUT: Book, Report Thesis, Workshop Reports and Working papers.
