| The Center is recognised by the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India and included in the list of recognised institutions for imparting training on computers/ Information Technology for the Government Officers. |

| The Centre developed digital multimedia documentation of Photographs and Videos of all events of NIRD under five specific categories namely 1) Training Programmes, 2) Field Visits, 3) VIP Visits, 4) Meetings and 5') Functions. This digital documentation is available on CDs. |

| ACTIVITIES |
| It conducts research studies and training programmes relating to the Quantitative aspects of planning, and also implementation analysis in rural development .It promotes extensive use and interpretation of secondary data for analysis of rural development problems and to indicate data gaps. The center brings out since 1980 an annual reference publication known as “Rural Development Statistics” highlighting the trends in the data relating to different sectors of rural development. |
| The important aspects covered in the research studies undertaken so far by CIT&QT include seasonal migration, monitoring rural change benchmark surveys, causes of poverty, human development profiles, unemployment and under-employment issues, food security and constructing composite |
| The Centre has recently conducted a study to assess the levels of poverty in the states of Gujarat, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh using both Quantitative and Participatory methodologies. The Study is sponsored by Asian Development Bank. |
