Methodology: Information is collected from 100 small enterprises viz., Foundry, Hosiery, Leather and Software through personal interviews by developing a semi structured schedule on the basis of the Pilot testing.

TITLE: Leadership amongst Tribals and Forest Protection: A Study of a Gond Village

PROJECT ABSTRACT: Objectives: (1)To study unique features of the Vana Samrakashana Samithi - VSS (Forest Protection Group)of Behroonguda (first VSS of AP);and (2) to draw lessons for leadership from the tribal village leadership to the corporate world.
Methodology: The study is conducted with participant observation, semi-structured interview with Forest Officials as well as JFM Committee members. A detailed interview of the leader of VSS Mr. Pendaram Ramu is also conducted as part of the study.
Study area: Behranguda Village of Jannaram Forest Division of Adilabad District, Andhra Pradesh.
PRESENT STATUS: First VSS to achieve financial viability Strong leadership and commitment has given the tribals financial dividends to the time of Rs. 65 million worth of forest timber as of 200 under JFM.

METHODOLOGY: Primary data would be collected through personal and group interviews, informed discussions and PRA tools and techniques.Secondary information will be collected with the help of content analysis of office records, reports, research studies and watershed guidelines.
