RURAL DEVELOPMENT & PANCHAYATI RAJ :

 Since 1952 Rural Dev. And Panchayati Raj has been functioning in the State with the objective to implement Community Development Programmes introduced in the country and to accelerate the pace of development in rural areas involving people’s participation.

State Level Monitoring Cell was established in the year 1981 to accelerate the implementation of 20 Point Economic Programme and other central sponsored scheme introduced from time to time

The Cell is directly responsible for implementation and supervision of Rural Development Schemes sponsored by Govt. of India and also co-ordinate the implementing agencies i.e. DRDAs at the District as well as the State Departments.
