TITLE: Bamboo stand

PROJECT ABSTRACT : Objectives: The prime objective of the research is to provide life time stand as a working stand for Bamboo artisans while making stick from Bamboo by hands. The subsidiary objective of the research was to save from injury during work.
Methodology: RTIG has identified this problem during time motion study of Bamboo working process and RTIG has developed triangular support from iron. Which is ideal for them.
Study Area: The bamboo workers were confined to a cluster of 20 to 25 artisans in Narmada District in Gujarat state.
Present Status: Bamboo stand is already developed and after taking several trials by the RTIG as well as workers engaged in these field. It has already been distributed to the workers engaged in this activity through RTIG. It is a simple designed, portable, easy to store, light in weight, maintenance free.

PROJECT ABSTRACT: Objectives: The prime objective of the research is to save the worker from the drudgery while removing seeds from Kalingana fruits by hands. The subsidiary objective of the research is to increase the production of Kalingana's seeds.
Study Area: The farmers engaged in this activity were confined to a cluster of 2 to 5 village of Banaskantha district in Gujarat state.
PRESENT STATUS : Completed:Kalingana decorticator is already developed and after taking several trials by the RTIG as well as farmers in the field. It has already been distributed to the workers engaged in this activity through RTIG.
PLANNED OUTPUT: Workshop and Seminar reports.

PROJECT ABSTRACT: The Project aims to implement and propagate. water harvesting systems appropriate for respective regions in the districts of Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Palghat, as a cost effective and long-term solution for problems related to water quality and scarcity. This is planned to be achieved by training the target groups/NGO's of the area to identify appropriate methods of water harvesting and implementing it through them. Accordingly NGO's have been identified in the 4 districts for implementation of the activities. Sites for demonstration of rainwater harvesting techniques have been identified in 3 districts by the NGO's, and steps are being taken to fabricate the rainwater harvesting structures.

OBJECTIVES: 1. To study the institutional mechanism that facilitates the process of technology transfer and adoption in rural areas;2. To examine the role of different stakeholders and their contribution to the technology transfer process; and 3. To study the impact of technology transfer on the improvement of productivity of different activities taken by the rural people.
METHODOLOGY: Information would be collected from a Sample of total 20 respondents through structured schedule and discussion method.
