Centre for Wage Employment and Poverty Alleviation (CWEPA)
Centre on ‘Wage Employment and Poverty Alleviation’ (CWEPA) undertakes research and training activities relating to Planning and Management of Wage Employment Programmes (e.g. NREGS), Poverty Analysis and Assessment of Impact of RD Initiatives on Rural Poverty and Livelihood Security among others.
Its research endeavours include issues relating to rural labour markets, causes and indicators of poverty. The centre intends to prepare case studies and also documents, good practices in planning and management of rural wage employment schemes.
Under its training activities CWEPA organizes training programmes for capacity building of key stake holders of NREGS. The centre seeks to undertake consultancy assignments in the areas of poverty, wage employment and evaluation of development projects.
